An attempt has been made in the present study for the application of various AI techniques to improve the stability of a power system. In this regard, improved AI techniques and hybridization of these AI techniques, as well as new controller structures are proposed for performance enhancement of power systems. Dr. Y. Narendra Kumar is presently Professor and Head of the Department, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department at Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Vizianagaram. AP, India. Dr. Narendra completed his Bachelors and Masters from JNT University, India. He completed his doctoral studies from VSSUT, India in Power Systems.
