It is an increasingly popular topic. All the while, the question arises: why hasit become a central issue? Is it because the loss of morals and values in our societiesis becoming more and more noticeable? Where are we now in this process?What are young people in Europe, in Kenya or in Malaysia experiencing? Whatdoes fair play mean to them?This volume reviews the concept of sport and its evolution on the road to fairplay, and traces its development and evolution with a particular focus on its rolein education. Values and changes in values, as well as the topic of role modellingare also addressed.The volume is characterised by cultural diversity. The economic, social andsocio-cultural background of Kenya, Malaysia, Central and Eastern Europe (Ukraine,Romania, Serbia, Hungary) is presented. For Kenya and Malaysia, the history ofthe development of sport is examined, as well as the values of education and therole of health education.In the light of this, the attitude of the students surveyed towards fair play maybecome clearer. The theoretical knowledge of the young people surveyed in thecountries studied in relation to the concept and spirit of fair play can be compared.
