Acid fast stain technique ( reference techniques )and their results were compared with those obtained with Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) and Immunochromatographic (IC)test for the detection of parasite .Among 106 samples ,9(8.2%) and 15(14.2%) were positive by acid fast stain technique before and during chemotherapy respectively , when examined by IC test and ELISA 13(12.3 %) and 33 (31.1% )gave positive results in the same groups patients respectively.
