"NURIA PARÉS (Barcelona, 1925-Mexico City, 2010), whose real name was Nuria Balcells de los Reyes, lived her childhood in Madrid although in 1938, during the Civil War, she had to go into exile with her family. She then began a long journey through different countries in Europe and America, a continent where she moved after the outbreak of the Second World War, until settling permanently in Mexico from 1942 until the moment of her death. 'Colofón de luz', published for the first time in 1987 in Mexico, brings together his books 'Romances de la voz sola' (1951) and 'Canto llano' (1959), as well as the series of poems titled 'Eight poems of shadow and a culmination of light. This volume includes an extensive introduction by Nuria Capdevila-Argüelles, an autobiographical text by Nuria Parés herself and an interesting photographic annex, as well as a handwritten letter from Vicente Aleixandre to the poet referring to Canto llano and an unpublished text that León Felipe read in the presentation of this same book. Thus, this new edition of Colofón de luz represents the definitive return to Spain of one of the most unique and unknown voices of our exile."--
