To this end, the researcher selected forty female high school students and divided them into two groups: an experimental group and a control group. A pre-test and a post-test were conducted on both groups. The design of this study was quasi-experimental intact group design with pre and post-test control and experimental group. Statistical analysis of test results showed that collaborative writing has an impact on the development of the vocabulary of Iranian high school students.
