In doing so, The Political Economy Framework was adopted as the framework for analysis. Consequently, the study employed the description survey research design and questions were administered on the Basis of Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Data was gathered from both primary and secondary source and the descriptive statistical tools were employed in analyzing the data using bar charts. The result of the findings revealed that erosion is a great challenge to sustainable development in Nigeria and particularly to communities under the attack of coastal erosion. To this end, recommendations were made on how to curb its impact on livelihood and sustainable development.
