Civilian War follows Jim and Joy, the parents of twin daughters with disabilities - Alex is Deaf and Kelly is on the autism spectrum - as they try to make the right decisions to keep their family together through the violence and the aftermath. In the before times, the family spent their vacations traveling in a 30-foot, class C motorhome. They use their RV in their escape and RV travel figures prominently in the story.
