The fate of Earth's children rests on the Mud Dogs, who serve as the last line of defense against the Shezón. By Carl's side is Raya, an Evolution shifter from a species that evolved from house cats. Joining them is Marine Lieutenant Skyler, a blind Evolution shifter and veteran of the Marine Corps' deadliest force, known as the Advanced Biosonar Soldiers.
