In this work, a composite film, consisting of ultra-sonication induced cellulose nano crystals and chitosan, was loaded with silver nano particles/ Curcumin (AgNpx/Cury) for wound dressing applications. The antimicrobial action of these composite films was investigated by in vivo wound healing and skin irritation studies on Albino rats. The cellulose nano crystals (CNC) were characterized by dynamic light scattering (DLS), and Transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The films were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM),and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).
