Champions Reign Supreme is the first publication for spoken word artist, Karyzma. An eclectic collection of poems, this anthology gives voice to various life experiences and chimes in with social commentary on universal themes and everyday issues. This work provides both entertainment and upliftment as each poem is accompanied by a short reflective narrative sharing with readers the story behind the poem. Each reflection provides insight regarding the events, experiences, and/or individuals who inspired their lines. Karyzma emphasizes that despite life's hardships, any satisfaction, success, or glimpse of happiness to be enjoyed, is first derived from a stubborn effort to keep rising to the occasion of this precious, yet sometimes challenging journey.

Autor

Karyzma is the spoken word artist behind the poetry collection, Champions Reign Supreme. A native of the island of Jamaica, she is a dedicated educator who has made South Carolina home. Karyzma is a loyal daughter of South Carolina State University where she played soccer while pursuing undergraduate studies and where she was named Poet Laureate, prior to graduating summa cum laude in 2004. She earned principal licensure through her studies at Walden University and is also a proud graduate of Johns Hopkins University, where she earned her doctoral degree. An avid reader, optimist, and critical observer, Karyzma uses her work to give voice to her life experiences as well as the experiences of others.
