The findings revealed that Screening using School Readiness Screening Tool used by Educational Assessment and Resource professionals does not screen areas especially of learners in following categories: Learners with Autism, learners with severe cerebral palsy, emotional and behavioral difficulties, speech and language difficulties, mentally handicapped and visual impairment.The book recommends that additional content in the referral form for more details of intervention and placement strategies and sustainable multidisciplinary approach in the screening process.The book will be of great help to educational assessment professionals working in the resource and service centers and multidisciplinary professionals involved in the screening of learners with special needs and disability.

Autor

Dr Wanyera Samuel holds a Phd in SNE from Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST). He is the Coordinator of Special Needs Project and Psycho-educational Research Laboratory and Lecturer at JOOUST. Holds M.Phil Special Needs Education from Oslo University-Norway, BED-Kenyatta University and Dip in SNE from KISE.
