It's 1979, and Dr. Randall Biedermeier, known as Dr. B, heads the Radiation Oncology Department at the Hobbes VA hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. B has made some progress in correcting these issues but has been flummoxed by strange experiences with his patients. One recently deceased patient has reappeared to him and his staff. Another dying patient summons Dr. B to his bedside by apparent telepathy just before his passing. Dr. B has always been a man of science, but these strange, unexplainable events are beginning to chip away at his rational worldview.
