The Bulletin of Industrial Statistics for the Arab Countries aims at providing detailed industrial data of Arab countries for the users of this type of statistics, including policy-makers, analysts and researchers, to assist them in meeting their various needs in this area. The publication includes time series of data and indicators for the period 2004- 2010. Data are drawn primarily from national sources, in addition to secondary sources whenever needed. The Bulletin is divided into two parts. Part I includes summary tables on the overall industrial trends including the levels of output expressed as the per capita value added at constant prices, labor productivity expressed as the share of value added at constant prices per employee, the size of the contribution made by industry to gross domestic product (GDP) at producers’ prices, the average wage of employees in the Arab countries. Part II contains tables of industrial statistics (if available) for each Arab country. It contains data on the number of establishments, the number of employees, wages and salaries paid to employees, output, value added and the industrial production index numbers.
