At least that's what the authorised biography said and that work was supervised by his upwordley mobile but extremely Left wing wife, Joan. It was only the arrival of the unauthorised biography that put a halt to the advance of the great man, so saving the incoming administration the problem of getting rid of him. Only after he had finally ruined the country could they do that.
