The town is situated at the crossing of the Norfolk & Western Railway and the Winchester and Berry's Ferry Turnpike about two miles west of Millwood of which it is the shipping point, and three miles from Old Chapel and White Post, Virginia respectively, and nine miles from Winchester, Virginia upon a ridge, which drains on the one side into the Pagebrook Run and on the other into the Saragota Run, affording most excellent sanitary conditions.
