The surface boundary layer processes are the driving forces for the growth of almost all the weather systems which is not yet understood properly. In this back ground detailed analysis of surface ABL processes during occurrence of different weather systems is investigated in this book. The book consists of 7 chapters. The general introduction about the book is given in the chapter-1. The second chapter deals with the variation of oceanic heat budget components during the evolution and propagation of the super cyclone, Gonu formed over the Arabian Sea. The third chapter discusses the oceanic heat budget components during the propagation of monsoon organized convection. The fourth chapter discusses the surface marine atmospheric boundary layer parameters during the occurrence of a super cyclone, Gonu in the Arabian Sea. The fifth chapter discusses the variation of surface boundary layer parameters during the occurrence of an annular solar eclipse and during a thunderstorm over Cochin. In the sixth chapter the characteristics of circulation as revealed by LAWP is discussed. ABL features are derived using different data sets such as QuikSCAT, MODIS, RAOB, LAWP, Sonic anemometer etc.
