Helia James was born into a world full of stories and discovered her love for language at an early age. Growing up surrounded by fantasy books, she developed a fascination not only for the fantastical but also for the romance woven within. Her first tentative steps in writing took place on various online writing platforms before she finally, at almost 30, late, but determined, ventured into the world of printed words. Today, she lives in a small town in southern Lower Austria with a constantly growing collection of unread books and two furry companions. Between midnight thoughts and early morning hours, she brings her complex characters to life. Her stories are more than just fantasy worlds. They are secret longings that resonate with all of us. She loves taking her readers on an emotional journey of self-discovery and, above all, self-acceptance, through the lens of queer characters.
