One of the primary goals of the Institute has always been to enhance awareness, development, and participation of African-Americans in the world of science and technology. ASI has sought to broaden the base of awareness among these historically neglected U.S. citizens. ASI has always believed brilliant, even marginally brilliant students would somehow make it in America. But what about the remaining 95%+ other African-Americans, whose plight gets in the way of their personal progress? ASI has always tapped into this vast resource of people and assisted in bringing them into the world of science and technology. We believe if you will not come to science and technology, then ASI will bring science and technology to you.
