Chapredi Reserve Forest is located in the northern direction of the Kachchh District. The Prosopis forest represents the lowest woody species diversity in the Chapredi RF.Mammals of the Chapredi RF were studied in two sites with two seasons. Based on direct sightings and indirect evidences, a total of 9 mammal species belonging to 8 families and 9 genera were recorded. 540 indirect evidences of 9 species were recorded. Four species of herbivores, two species of carnivores, one species of granivores and one species of each omnivores and frugivores recorded.
