Control group was daily injected subcutaneously with 1 ml distilled water; 2 treated groups were daily injected subcutaneously with patulin (0.2 mg/kg B.W) for one and two weeks, respectively. The third group was injected subcutaneously by patulin for two weeks then treated with goji berry extract (2 mL/kg B.W) (Therapeutic) for two weeks. The last group was treated by goji for two weeks before injecting with the same toxin for two weeks (Prophylactic).
