Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies are revolutionizing how architecture is practiced and constructed and will impact how architects will communicate with clients, consultants, industry and among themselves. The objective of this study is to understand how BIM could improve architect-client communication during the schematic design phase of a design process. BIM can enhance the quality and quantity of information during the schematic design phase improving communication between architect and client.

Autor

Yohannes Abbay Tessema holds B. Sc. Degree and M. Sc. degree in architecture from Addis Ababa University (AAU), and Texas Tech University (TTU) respectively. Currently he is working on his Ph.D. at TTU in the Land Use Planning, Management, & Design (LPMD) program. He is a lecturer at Mekelle University in Ethiopia.
