Bernie Coulson was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he graduated from Magee High School in 1983. For a short time, he was the roommate of Brad Pitt while the two of them were trying to break into acting. Pitt's portrayal of Floyd in the film True Romance is partially based on Coulson. He also acted in the hit TV series Macgyver in 1988. He played Sid in the 1979 TV series Huckleberry Finn and His Friends. Bernie played Sal in the movie Loverboy starring Patrick Dempsy.
