Yet, the author has tried to express beauty, culture, people, festivals of Assam and also philosophy of life of Assamese people without using any kar in his composition. Devajit Bhuyan's first book without any kar "Karatala Kamala" got immense popularity in Assam as it was the first book written in such style after 600 years of departure of Sankardeva, who introduced this style and subsequently the style became defunct.
