Illnesses emerge in hospitals, constantly causing vulnerability, disability, death and excessive expense for those affected. This reality is shared by every hospital in the world, making it an issue that attracts a great deal of attention, hence the development of the concept of nosocomial infections. Solving this problem has given rise to a prevention policy that is encountering difficulties in Ivorian hospitals. This is due to the attitudes of those involved. This situation obviously includes the Daloa Regional Hospital. The aim of this study is therefore to investigate the hygienic attitudes of hospital environment users to the risks of nosocomial infections. Using a mixed-methods approach, we have shown that reducing the risk of nosocomial infections requires the adoption of recommended hygienic practices in Ivorian health centers.
