Upon retirement from the military, he worked in the aerospace industry for twenty-six years. He was alternately a financial analyst, scientist, software tester ( in logistics and system engineering), and a member of the development team of the GPS. In 2001, he retired from Lockheed Martin. Everett has developed principles of success that were instrumental in helping him manage his real estate in Silicon Valley, Sunnyvale, California. He shares these in his book.
