The parameters such as PH, TDS, EC are analyzed by using portable instruments where as major Cations like Sodium, Potassium, Calcium and Magnesium are analyzed by photo spectrometer and Ion chromatography. Therefore it is better to drink ground water after some treatment only. Overall central portion of the basin is some what good for drinking water. When Residual Sodium Carbonate (RSC) is taken into consideration only 3 samples are with in the limit i.e , 2.5. 5 samples are having RSC values less than 10 and the rest of 5 samples are having greater than 10.
