The goal of this book was to estimate the effects of childhood diseases and interventions on child and maternal health-related outcomes at national and sub-national levels in Uganda. Sub-national estimates inform about effectiveness of interventions at a local scale as well as areas mostly affected by diseases. This information can guide control programs in the development of locally adapted and evidence-based interventions. This will reduce within country inequalities in health outcomes and consequently accelerate progress in achieving Sustainable Development Goal targets in Uganda.

Autor

Betty Bukenya Nambuusi is a biostatistician with a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Basel-Switzerland, MSc. Biostatistics and MSc. Applied Statistics from the University of Hasselt-Belgium, and a BSc. Statistics from Makerere University-Uganda. Betty teaches Biostatistics in the School of Public Health, Makerere University.
