The story follows a wəlastəkewi skitap (man) named Askəmawso along with his friends, Mahtəkwehs and Kahkakohs. It is the story of his quest to find long-lost Kelowəskap, in hopes that he can grant Askəmawso's biggest wish: to live forever.

Autor

Lisa-Maude Aubin-Berube is Wolastoqewi from Wahsipekuk and Quebecoise. Her academics and personal achievements are linked to her need to reappropriate her culture and language. The artist just graduated from NBCCD in Wabanaki visual arts, where she chose to specialize in wampum making. She currently teaches and resides in Ekpahak (Fredericton), New Brunswick, keeping in mind the goal to share and preserve the language and culture.
