The entire metal and the plastic spacer together are called the Artificial Knee. There are many models of artificial knee, which had been designed so far in 5 to 6 decades of arthroplasty history. This book details a research which was aimed to design an artificial knee customized for eastern lifestyles, which emphasizes the high flexion- extension range of over 125 degrees. This high flexion can provide the comfort of squatting/ semi squatting even after the Total Knee Replacement [TKR].
