Dictionary of Architecture, German-English-Hungarian-Polish-Russian-Slovakian This multilingual illustrated dictionary is the result of a four-year research project. Experts in different technical and humanistic disciplines from technological universities from the USA, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine and Slovakia participated in this project. The aim of this dictionary is to facilitate the scientific discourse of architects, civil engineers, curators, town planners, sociologists and building contractors on problems of architecture, structural engineering and urban development. The dictionary is divided into two parts: The systematic part is organized into 12 special fields, arranged accordingly to thematic complexes. The entries include the technical present-day language, illustrations facilitate the location of terms. The sixfold index lists the terms alphabetically for each language referring to the thematic connections in the systematic part.Dieses Bildwörterbuch ist das Ergebnis eines vierjährigen Forschungsprojekts, an dem Fachleute unterschiedlicher technischer und geisteswissenschaftlicher Disziplinen von Technischen Universitäten aus den USA, Deutschland, Ungarn, Polen, der Ukraine und der Slowakei teilnahmen. Das Wörterbuch besteht aus zwei Teilen: Der systematische Teil ist in 12 Fachgebiete gegliedert, die nach thematischen Komplexen geordnet sind. Die einzelnen Begriffe erfassen die fachliche Gegenwartssprache. Abbildungen vereinfachen das Auffinden von Begriffen und erhöhen die Übersetzungszuverlässigkeit. Der sechfache Index listet für jede Sprache die Begriffe alphabetisch auf und verweist auf die thematischen Zusammenhänge im systmatischen Teil.
