Graciosa Island belongs to the Azores Archipelago (Portugal) and is located at latitude 39° - 39°06' N and longitude 27°56' - 28°05' W. The island lies in the North Atlantic Ocean and is part of the Azorean Microplate, formed by the "triple junction" of the Eurasian, African and North American lithospheric plates.
