Over the past few years, Zambia's aquaculture sector has attracted major companies, particularly in the Copperbelt, Lusaka and Southern provinces. Due to the higher participation of commercial entities, their farming systems in terms of numbers and sizes increased from 32,968 metric tons in 2017 to 38,480 metric tons in 2019.
