Making use of a wide range of printed sources, the author delves into the meaning of each emblem and provides an all-encompassing interpretation of this cycle, which can rightly be described as the richest and most complete programme of Marian applied emblematics in the Iberian Peninsula.

Autor

Carme López Calderón, Ph.D. (2014), is a Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Santiago de Compostela. She has extensively published on Marian applied emblems, including the awarded monograph Grabados de Augsburgo para un ciclo emblemático portugués (Universitat de València, 2016).
