It also showed positive effects (increase) on serum high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c) concentrations. The presence of Thymoquinone (TQ), thymohydroquinone (THQ), dithymoquinone, thymol, carvacrol, , and beta-pinene, may be responsible for its antiobesity activity.
