All of Iran's international oil contracts are divided into two main categories. The first category is known as the "Production Sharing" contracts which were concluded before the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and the other category is the contracts which were concluded after the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the formation of the ministry of oil and in order to maintain and develop and the exploitation of oil and gas reserves has been concluded that oil and gas contracts have mainly been in the form of contracts for the purchase of contracting services.
