The results revealed challenges and opportunities in the management of healthcare waste in emergency care settings. The research offers valuable insights for improving waste management strategies at this facility, contributing to the safety of health professionals, public health and environmental preservation. It was identified that the establishment evaluated has a specific plan, focusing on the management of solid waste from health services, in addition to complying with health rules made available in legislation.
