Candy Cotton owns and operates Candy's Cafe, a successful restaurant in Whitlow, NC. Life is good until Paul Garner moves into the apartment on the second floor of her building. Everything seems to be going well until Candy finds out that Paul has been keeping secret the fact that he owns her building. Hurt and anger cause Candy to lash out and drive Paul away. Through prayer and honest self-reflection, Candy begins to change her life, but will that be enough to regain Paul's friendship and possibly his affection.
