It has analyzed the current statues of contemporary calligraphy in China, and at the same time surveyed examples that relates to glass calligraphy. It also includes the development of the personal glass art practice of the researcher, which used glass and metal oxides. This project also focus on how an artist today might use the techniques of metal oxides with glass to develop contemporary Chinese glass calligraphy art. It is expected that this research will boost the development of traditional calligraphy to form a model of contemporary calligraphy. Finally, all the artworks provide different perspectives on the idea that 'Chinese calligraphy is life'.
