In view of this, it is clear that schools must prepare themselves to work on new skills with students, so that they have a critical view of this information, as well as knowing how to compare, synthesise this knowledge or take an argumentative stance on controversial issues. With this problem in mind, bibliographical and field research was carried out in an attempt to emphasise the importance of using new technologies in biology teaching and its challenges for teachers' teaching practice.
