While it is most appropriate for use in its entirety early in the season, An Advent Worship Service may also be excerpted for use throughout Advent building up to the Christmas Eve service. Dreher received a B.S. degree in secondary education from Southern Illinois University. She has been a schoolteacher, directed a Christian preschool, and is currently the Secretary/Treasurer of the East Central Illinois Baptist Association. Dreher has written children's curriculum for the Sunday School Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
