The results arecompared with ampacities obtained using standardmethods, implemented in the CYMCAP commercialsoftware package. The comparisons show that ampacitysolutions obtained with the optimization method areat least equal and up to 15% greater than thoseobtained with the latter. Such an increase in totalcurrent loadings greatly improves the utilizationefficiency of power cables.
