Improving productivity is an important factor in addressing Brazil's growing housing deficit. In addition, the construction industry occupies a strategic position in the country's development due to its economic and social importance. In this scenario, the use of industrialised construction systems has become increasingly established, mainly by large construction companies and in projects that require speed of execution. The main objective of this study is to present, from the perspective of important parameters for the construction of horizontal residential condominiums (rationalisation, quality, cost and performance, among others), a comparative analysis of the Jet Casa construction system (a system consisting of prefabricated self-supporting panels made of ceramic blocks and reinforced concrete ribs) with the structural masonry construction system using ceramic blocks, traditionally used in these developments. Finally, from the perspective of the important parameters for the construction of horizontal residential condominiums, these two construction processes are compared for use in the development in question.
