The exceptional quality of the project consists of the idea that the sports complex – one of the most advanced on the continent and, for that reason, chosen by the UEFA as the location for the final match of the Conference League tournament in 2022 – was conceived as an urban structure fully integrated with the life of the city and located in an area to which it, merely by virtue of its presence, has contributed to redevelop entirely. The stadium or, rather, the urban complex that contains it, is the symbol of a cultural rebirth that places at the center of every human activity the community that engages with the sports arena on a continuous, and not merely occasional, basis, with its plazas, shops, offices and the hotel that offers hospitality and services for conferences and meetings. For these reasons, it is one of the most advanced structures of its kind in Europe, a model that will certainly be emulated by other countries and that one hopes can be replicated as an example of social integration in other cities in Albania.
