They are considered as the main driving force agents in seed dispersal and cross-pollination of certain trees throughout the world. But the avifauna includes a total of (786) species throughout Pakistan of which (39) species are accidental species. Aves are a carrier of many pathogenic agents. Jungle babbler, Turdoides striata (Dumont de Sainte, 1823) is a member of the Leiothrichidae family, old-world passerine found in the Indian sub-continent, in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, and Bangladesh. They are gregarious birds that forage in a small group of 5-12 birds with a dull, earth-colored bird with a strong but slender yellow bill. They stay close to the ground, hunting for insects especially Date palm orchards and a variety of crops on the fallen leaves. They have weak flight and are generally terrestrial, considered beneficial to agro-ecosystem as they devour voraciously on insect matter.
