Dr. Gordan Jezic is a Professor at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. He received a B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. at the Department of Telecommunications of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER), University of Zagreb. His research interest includes telecommunication networks and services focusing particularly on parallel and distributed systems, M2M and IoT systems, AI, edge computing, communication networks and protocols, mobile software agents and multi-agent systems. During his professional career, he participated as a project leader or an investigator on many EU and domestic scientific projects. He co-authored over 100 scientific and professional papers, book chapters and articles in journals and conference proceedings. He is a senior member of IEEE Communication Society, KES International, member of technical committee of IEEE SMC on Computational Collective Intelligence, and leader of the technical committee of the KES Focus Group on Agent and Multi-agent Systems. Dr. Yun-Heh Jessica Chen-Burger has over 20 years of modelling experiences in areas such as business and enterprise modelling, ontology creation and to provide automated intelligent support for them. Jessica and her RA and PhD students worked on several topics in the fields of business, enterprise and process modelling, intelligence and reasoning systems, swarm-based intelligent supply chain automation and optimisation problems. Knowledge models are formalised to provide solid foundations to allow semantics-based inference, verification, validation, reasoning and the automatic construction of virtual workflow machines on the fly for execution. Jessica has over 60 publications in relevant scientific journals, conferences and books in these topics. Recently, she incorporated these techniques with theoretical economical models and financial information to create an innovative approach in predicting stock market price trends with great precision. Dr. Mario Kusek is Professor at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. He holds Ph.D. (2005) in electrical engineering, from the University of Zagreb. He is currently a lecturer of 10 courses and has supervised over 200 students at B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. studies. He participated in numerous projects local and international. He has co-authored over 110 papers in journals, conferences and books in the area of distributed systems, multi-agent systems, self-organized systems and machine-to-machine (M2M) Communications. Prof. Kušek is a member of IEEE and KES International. Dr. Roman Šperka is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Business Economics and Management at the Silesian University in Opava, School of Business Administration in Karviná, Czechia. He has held a PhD in Business Economics and Management and a Doctorate in Applied Informatics since 2013. He has been participating as a head researcher or research team member in several projects funded by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic or COST EU. He is the author or co-author of two books and more than 100 papers published in scientific journals and conference proceedings. His research focuses on business process and data management, process mining, the implementation and deployment of information systems and software frameworks, the application of agent-based technologies in the social sciences, as well as modeling and simulation in socio-economic systems. Prof. Robert J. Howlett is the Academic Chair of KES International, a non-profit organisation which facilitates knowledge transfer and the dissemination of research results in areas including Intelligent Systems, Sustainability, and Knowledge Transfer. He is Visiting Professor in Sustainable Innovation at Cardiff Metropolitan University, Wales, UK, Visiting Professor at 'Aurel Vlaicu' University of Arad, Romania, and has also been Visiting Professor for Enterprise at Bournemouth University, UK. His technical expertise is in the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning for the solution of industrial problems. His current interests centre on the application of intelligent systems to sustainability, particularly renewable energy, with applications in housing and sustainable agriculture. He previously developed a national profile in knowledge and technology transfer, and the commercialisation of research. He works with a number of universities and international research groups on the supervision teams of PhD students, and the provision of technical support for projects. Professor Lakhmi C. Jain, PhD, Dr H.C., ME, BE(Hons), Fellow (Engineers Australia), is with the University of Piraeus, Athens and the University of Arad, Arad. He was formerly with the University of Technology Sydney, Liverpool Hope University, the University of Canberra and Bournemouth University. Professor Jain founded the KES International for providing a professional community the opportunities for publications, knowledge exchange, cooperation and teaming. Involving around 5,000 researchers drawn from universities and companies world-wide, KES facilitates international cooperation and generate synergy in teaching and research. KES regularly provides networking opportunities for professional community through one of the largest conferences of its kind in the area of KES.
