Adda, also referenced in Latin as Adimantus, was one of Mani's earliest followers and an exegentical writer commenting on the Greek scriptures and Mani's psalms. The preliminary diffusion of Mani's revelation into the late Roman empire was advocated by his disciple Adda, which St. Augustine would have been familiar with from his time among them as an acolyte.
