This book presents concepts for radio engineers to ensure electromagnetic compatibility based on the methodological approaches to reduce the probability of failures of radio equipment and improve the flight safety of complex aerospace systems. The book deals with issues related to methods for assessing the electromagnetic compatibility of integrated ground and on-board complexes, methods for obtaining information about unintentional interference, the theory of predicting unintentional interference, experimental studies of the characteristics that determine electromagnetic compatibility, methods for calculating reference systems, the influence of the method of generating the output signals of the transmitting path on the relative level of spurious radiation, electromagnetic compatibility of ultrahigh-frequency devices with phase modulation, with the features of industrial noise, with the calculation of electromagnetic fields scattered elements of the airframe, with direction findingerrors caused by the scattering of electromagnetic fields by elements of the airframe, with the evaluation of isolation between antennas in the presence of an electromagnetic screen, solving problems of electromagnetic compatibility of antenna devices with the model electromagnetic interference radio systems, calculation of electromagnetic compatibility of specific navigation systems, with the provision of electromagnetic compatibility in civil aviation, taking into account modern requirements.

Autor

Dmitry Alexandrovich Zatuchny is a doctor of technical sciences, associate professor and professor at the Department of Computation Machines, Complexes, Systems and Networks at Moscow State Technical University of Civil Aviation. He is the author of more than 140 scientific works, including five monographs, six textbooks, one patent on an invention and six state registered computer programs. He was responsible for a number of research projects on ensuring the functioning of modern navigation systems in civil aviation aircraft and air traffic control. Grigory Grigoryevich Negreskul is a post-graduate student of the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation. He graduated from the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI" named after V. I. Ulyanov (Lenin) with a bachelor's degree in Telecommunications (2014) and a master's degree in Infocommunication Technologies andCommunication Systems (2016). He is a author of 15 scientific papers and a performer of a number of research works on aviation navigation and landing. He specializes in the field of satellite systems and electromagnetic compatibility of aircraft systems. Oleg Ivanovich Sauta is an expert on air radio engineering systems for navigation and landing and holds 20 patents for inventions in the field of radio engineering systems for satellite navigation. Artem Yuryevich Shatrakov is the chair of radio engineering systems at the Institute of Radio Engineering, St. Petersburg State University. His chief research interests are in the area of radio navigation systems for air traffic control and safety.  Yuri Grigorievich Shatrakov is a doctor of Technical Sciences, Russian Federation Honored Worker of Science, and a professor at the Academy of Technological Sciences of the Russian Federation. He has worked in the field of air navigation since 1963, and his interests focus on ground and on-board systems of radio navigation, instrumental landing, secondary radar, air traffic control systems, and training and simulation systems. He has published more than 400 scientific papers.
