An experimental study was conducted to obtain the adsorption kinetics of quaternary aqueous system of typical industrial pollutants: phenol, butanol, butan-2-ol, 2-methylbutan-2-ol onto activated carbon. The equilibrium adsorption data have been fitted to Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms, and the isotherm constant which are needed for the prediction of multicomponent adsorption equilibria are reported.
