The study used the descriptive approach, and the results of the study resulted in: Administrative empowerment for the heads of academic departments has been achieved to a large extent, and the performance of faculty members has been achieved to a high degree. As well as a positive correlation with statistical significance between the performance of faculty members and the administrative empowerment of heads of academic departments. Among the most important recommendations of the study: granting heads of academic departments more powers, allowing them to participate in setting university policy, and developing the capabilities of department heads by providing training Opportunities and incentive system review.
