Within the scope of the present work the following objectives are aimed towards: 1. Design of an electro-hydraulically actuated laboratory-scale process line involving a bay extending from the furnace up to the spraying system, a sample-holding system. 2. Selection and design of the electro-hydraulic actuation system to meet the desired speed of reciprocation. 3. Performance analysis through modeling and simulation of the actuation system in Matlab/Simulink. 4. Preliminary design of a closed loop control if necessary.
